Many of the most subscribed to Youtube channels are music channels, such as Katy Perry’s Vevo, Eminem’s Vevo, Taylor Swift’s Vevo and more. Music (music videos, in particular) is such a popular topic in YouTube that YouTube has recently created a whole new feature on the YouTube app and online. But, one of the more underrated (or at least undersubscribed) channels are the channels that cover or create music of their own in new and interesting ways. For instance, Pentatonix is one of these channels, along with the channel which I’m featuring today, ScottBradleeLovesYa, famous for his Postmodern Jukebox series.

Bradlee’s series of videos, Postmodern Jukebox, takes popular songs, such as Blurred Lines, We Can’t Stop, Roar, Rude and many many more and covers them in a plethora of different styles ranging from mariachi to 50s doo-wop. In this video, Scott Bradlee (on piano) and a band of talented musicians cover Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen in a vintage, piano-centric sort of way.

And I have to say, they do a pretty dang good job of it – I almost like their vintage version more than Carly’s original song.
