Mainly consisting of two guys, a pianist and a cellist, John Schmidt and Steve Sharp Nelson. They do amazing covers, original songs, medleys, mashups and more using just their two instruments. In this video, they somehow manipulate the inside of a piano to create the effect of many instruments, all the while covering One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful.
It really is amazing what can be done with one the one piano, and the Piano Guys take full advantage of that in their cover. By plucking and tapping the insides of the piano at the same time as playing it the conventional way, they can create many sounds at once, which adds a whole new layer of awesomeness to regular piano covers.
