We all know a group of the biggest countries have the technology to launch a full-on nuclear war, and the Cold War was pretty much an accumulation of all the tension about nuclear warfare technology that had developed. (of course, a lot of other factors came into play about the Cold War, but nuclear warfare was at the forefront of the argument)
Although nuclear power also brought along nuclear weapons, which I’m sure we could do without, should be really use nuclear power generators purely for electricity and not for warfare? As many accidents like Fukushima and Chernobyl have been attributed to the instability of nuclear reactors, nuclear power has gotten a worse and worse look over the years in the public’s eye.
