Channels such as Dude Perfect defined the genre, and now people all over the world are expanding on it and creating new and interesting trick shot videos. One of these channels is Brodie Smith, a channel (obviously) run and performed by Brodie Smith.
Brodie Smith is, and I’m dead serious about this, a professional frisbee trick-shooter. That may seem like an incredibly small niche to fill, but Brodie Smith fills and is constantly expanding on that niche with his channel and its awesome videos. You might not know why doing trick shots with a frisbee would be appealing, but it actually appeals to the very reason people watch trick shots in the first place.
The reason trick shots are as popular as they are is because they are doing something cool that most people can’t do. And, as there are many more people good at basketball and football than there are frisbee trick shots, that makes Brodie even more of a big figure in the trick shot world.
Basically, Brodie’s videos are awesome because trick shots with a frisbee is something you probably can’t do, and is awesome to watch as well. For instance, in this video Brodie Smith released a while back, he shows how we can somehow hold his ground with a frisbee against Dude Perfect, some of the best in the business, using footballs. They played one of the coolest trick shot battles ever, and this is the video that documented that. (above)
Plus, using a frisbee adds a whole new dimension to trick shots in terms of range and complexity. Brodie and throw his frisbee much farther than Dude Perfect can throw a football, so that means with a good amount of accuracy, Brodie could make some pretty awesome long range shots. Overall, Brodie Smith is an innovative and talented trick shot expert that took advantage of the gaping hole in the market for a frisbee trick shot artist. Not only are people easily wowed by Brodie’s videos, but he continues to make great videos such as the ones above. He is an amazingly talented frisbee-ist, and definitely deserve his Youtube fame.
