Loading...A while back, the amazing researchers at IBM decided to create a movie made using atoms. Individual atoms. This seems crazy, but somehow IBM made it happen. Today’s featured video is that short movie that IBM made, which they can “A Boy And His Atom”. The movie is very cool, and uses stop-motion animation to take precisely set up pictures of atoms to life.
The basic premise of the movie is the a boy, who is of course made out of atoms, has a little atom that he uses as a ball. To be honest, it doesn’t have a great emotional plotline; after all, it is made out of atoms, and looks similar to a 8-bit video game. Still, it’s astounding that we have so much control over the world around us that we can bend individual atoms to our will, and in this case, create a short movie using them. It’s a great video, and a classic that everyone has to see.
