Loading...I have a theory: the sun is actually blue, and when the light hits the atmosphere it turns it yellow, which is why we see the sun as yellow. That may sound crazy, but it’s my theory.
Now, what is wrong with that statement? First of all, we know that sun is, in fact, not blue. But the most glaringly wrong part of that paragraph to me, someone who is fairly scientifically literate (and as someone who watched the video above), is the part where I say it’s my theory. Theory, hypothesis, law and fact are all scientific terms that are often misused in daily conversation. In this great video by It’s Okay To Be Smart, you’ll learn all about these scientific terms, what they mean, and how to correctly identify them from each other. This might seem boring, but when we apply the things like evolution and gravity, it gets interesting. Altogether, the video does a great job of explaining the terms, and does it in a fun and interesting way.
