Most of you would say the colors I said at the start of this article: light grey, white, or silver. But in fact, the moon is dark grey, and that is very apparent when we look at pictures of astronauts on the moon. Why do we see the moon as a silver circle in the sky, and not a gray disk as it really is?
In the video, Joe tells you all about how the eye differentiates and interprets color, and shows you some examples that fool your eyes into seeing different colors than are actually being displayed. With that knowledge, Joe then explains why exactly you see the moon so bright when really it’s just a big ball of rock and metal.
