Today’s world is hard enough to survive in, but in the interesting and entertaining video above by Life Noggin, you are posed with a more difficult question: could you survive 2.5 million years ago? The Earth was a very different place back then, the world enveloped in an ice age that lasted millions of years. This alone makes the situation much harder than if the climate was the same as today. But assuming you could survive the climate, how different was the world 2.5 million years ago compared to today?

As Blocko, the narrator of Life Noggin videos will tell you, it was very different. In the video, Blocko discusses the main differences between life on Earth now and life on Earth then, including humanity’s ancestors, diseases, potential environmental pressures, and more. Not to state the obvious, but my guess would be that it would be very hard to survive 2.5 million years ago. Altogether, the video does a great job of analyzing the hypothetical scenario, as well as talking about what it really was like back then in an entertaining yet informative way.
