Loading...Assuming you haven’t been living under a rock for the past year, you’ve probably heard of the hit musical Hamilton, created, written, and starring Lin Manuel Miranda. It has a pretty unique description: a broadway musical based on the life of founding father Alexander Hamilton. Oh, and most of the music is rap. Not a typical musical, but a wildly successful one nonetheless. The music, acting, and really the whole thing is critically acclaimed, winning award after award and captivating the public for the last year and a half.
The video above, made by Peter Hollens, is a great medley of some of Hamilton’s best songs. Not only are the songs performed very well by Peter Hollens and co., but it also gives people unfamiliar with many Hamilton songs (like me, for instance) a chance to listen to some of the play’s music, albeit in acapella form, in shorter yet still captivating pieces.
