If you’re like most people, you’ve probably run out of some food before, a common item people run out of on a consistent basis being milk. Contrary to what you may currently believe, the very fact that you have run out of milk – or really any other action you may have made or situation you may have faced in your life – can be used as an example to argue against the existence of free will.

Free will is defined as: “the power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate; the ability to act at one’s own discretion.” It’s a controversial subject with many differing opinions, but one view that has grown a mass of support and arguments for is the non-existence of free will. While the video above doesn’t necessarily state an opinion on the topic, it does provide a hilarious, wonderfully-stated variation on the argument against free will, taking something everyone can relate to (to some level) and turning it into a fascinating existential argument against something that seems so inherent to being human.
