Loading...With the United States election resulting as it did, one might wonder what our current president, President Barack Obama, might think of the result. Of course, he might not be able to say what he really thinks on the matter, but we can always take a guess. And that’s exactly what This American Life asked singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles to do, specifically to write a song about what Obama might think about president-elect Donald Trump.
Once the song was written, This American life brought it to life, Leslie Odom Jr. of Hamilton signing it and a handful of talented musicians filling in the instrumental. The end result is really amazing, not only being an interesting look into what might go on in President Obama’s mind, but also the song itself is written and performed incredibly well.
