For the 17th featured video of the day, I’ve picked Pentatonix‘s

Daft Punk – Pentatonix

In honor of Pentatonix’s recent Grammy win, for today’s featured video is the Grammy-winning video that Pentatonix uploaded to Youtube back in November of 2014 and now, a year later, won a Grammy for. The a cappella group, previous winners of the a cappella competition show The Sing Off, have been building their online presence with their Youtube channel, PTXofficial, which now has 7.5 million subs, along with Scott and Mitch’s personal duo channel, Superfruit, which has 1 million subs.

The video Pentatonix won the Arrangement, Instrumental and A Cappella category for is their amazing medley of Daft Punk songs, including “One More Time”, “Get Lucky” and more. Not only is this video amazing, in how great they sing, and how much you’re surprised when you hear that no instruments were used at all, but the great arrangement of the song really is what makes it great. Sure, you could just sing any song in a harmony of different pitches, but what really makes Pentatonix great is how they write and change the song’s arrangement to fit their voices and to meld together multiple songs.

Congrats to Pentatonix to winning their first Grammy!
