Youtube is great for many things: instructional videos, science, educational, sports, music, entertainment in general, and much more. To be honest, you could probably make a Youtube channel about anything, and get a decent following too, as long as you are interesting to people in that certain community and have decent filming and editing skills. But, one category of entertainment on Youtube that Youtube does better than any other media, and I mean any other media, including books, TV, and movies, is comedy.

Here’s the reason: there are tons and tons of great comedy on Youtube. From comedic vloggers to comedic film critics, Youtube is full of very funny people. As all you have to be is naturally funny and have a knack for filmmaking to become a Youtube comedian, there is a plethora of incredibly funny Youtube comedians, all with their own style. If you don’t like one, you will certainly find another you like. Today, I will be featuring one of my favorite Youtube comedians, who is not only funny but also has had a great impact on you Youtube community. His name is Craig Benzine, better known as Wheezy Waiter.

Craig isn’t necessarily the type of guy you’d peg as a Youtube star; he’s a 34-year-old guy with trademark beard, who looks like he’d be more comfortable in an office building rather than a film studio. But, even watching just one of Craig’s videos immediately tell that he is just a naturally funny person. His style of comedy is very unique, combining puns with dry humor, his own unique humor involving clones, and, well… just watch the video above. Craig’s comedy style is very hard to explain, but he is always funny, no matter what his video is on. In fact, his videos frequently have no topic whatsoever, and yet you can spend hours just clicking through his past uploads.

Before I go on, you might be wondering: where did Craig get his name Wheezy Waiter? Well, it’s actually quite self-explanatory. While other channel are named after what they make videos about, such as The Piano Guys, or Scishow, Craig decided on a name that describes him as a person. Basically, he has asthma (the wheezy part) and was at the time working as a waiter. (the waiter part… obviously) Although the name is seemingly random, it certainly has a nice ring to it, and has faithfully stuck with Craig throughout his whole Youtube career.

As I said before, Wheezy Waiter has affected Youtube more than you would imagine for someone with 570,000 subs. For example, you may have watched non-wheezy waiter videos that involve clones. (i.e., a multiple versions of the same person on the same screen) This idea was pioneered by Wheezy Waiter, and he is undoubtedly the clone expert of Youtube, having them become a big part of his channel. In fact, many of his videos are based only off of clones as the main subject of the video, including the video above, and Wheezy’s most popular video, Clone Hard. (a parody of those action movies, with clones) Not only does Craig use clones as a comedic prop, but he also makes them very realistic, using focus, carefully crafted shots, and good editing to make the clones seem as real as possible.

Not only did Wheezy Waiter start the clone trend, but he also started another trend that spread from him, to the vlogbrothers, and then out into the rest of the Youtube community. Ever heard of a Youtuber say “doobily-do” instead of “description”? Wheezy Waiter started that too. Pretty much just because he didn’t like saying description.

Overall, Wheezy Waiter is a hilarious channel. Run by Craig Benzine, aka Wheezy Waiter, the channel is updated with new videos around twice a week. These video can be about many things, such as a clone skit, news, a vlog type video, and more. But, one thing’s for sure: they’re always funny. If anyone can sum up Wheezy Waiter, it’s Craig Benzine. So, to quote Wheezy Waiter’s Youtube channel description:

“I try to make videos every weekday. Sometimes clones make them. Sometimes I just fail at it. But these videos usually involve coffee, beards, clones, news, weirdness, normalness, and things that you’re not sure are weird or normal. *wink*”
