Have you ever been playing a intense video game, or reading a long book that your not so sure you like, and end up feeling like you’re working, not entertaining yourself? When does work, something most of us could do with less of, and play, something we all could do more of, meet? There are so many games, books, movies, TV shows, songs, and more that we’re all expected to know and consume, when does the consuming of these mediums become almost a chore?

This seems like a odd question, as usually, work and play are antonyms, and never meet. It’s like hot and cold, or black and white. But, in the most recent video by PBS Idea Channel, Mike discusses modern culture, and in particular, modern media, and how it is constantly spitting out movies, songs, books and more that we’re all in a way expected to read, play, and watch. It’s an interesting theory, and an interesting video altogether.
