Ever wondered what it would be like to be in a real life first person shooter? Maybe not, but it would sure be pretty cool, and RealmPictures decided to make that a reality. They did this by setting up a whole zombie themed apocalyptic set, complete with guns, actors, decor, and a boss. Then, they created a helmet that could stream live video from a GoPro mounted on the front, and put it on an actor that acted as you in the game.
Once they set all that up, the plot, what people would do, even how to live feed the animations on screen, they went to online “chat roulette” sites, where they could video call random strangers, and put them in control of the player. The people on the other end of the call could talk two ways with the character, so they could instruct him and hear what was goofy on. Overall, the whole video was very well put together, and gives the viewer a fun and completely unique experience.
