Loading...I don’t often feature trailers, but today I will make an exception. As much as I try to keep the videos I feature here mostly from YouTube specific creators, there are occasionally times when mainstream media hits one out of the park. And today happens to be one such day, as yesterday the official trailer for the newest movie in the Star Wars franchise, The Force Awakens, was released. Since the last movie was released way back in a simpler time, in 2005, you can image the hype around this movie even if you happen to be one of the people who don’t like the series. So far we’ve only seen short snippets, without any real plotline revealed, but finally Disney and Lucasfilms have given us a little to work with in the official trailer.
Not only is the trailer full of action-packed, intense, and exciting clips, but it really does give us look into the world of the new Star Wars. First of all, the trailer makes it clear that the story follows Ray, played by Daisy Ridley, and is set in a time way after the events of Star Wars 4,5, and 6, where the Jedi and the Sith are only legends. (this is hinted at by the dialogue between Ray and Han Solo, now older, which goes:
Ray: There are stories about what happened.
Han Solo: It’s true. All of it.)
Anyway, you can see that the new movie brings a hope that it will be as good as the first 3 (meaning 4,5, and 6), and I’m sure seeing this trailer will make Star Wars fans all over the world as excited for the release as it make me, which in case you couldn’t guess already, is very excited.
