Slow motion video can open windows into our world that we never knew were possible. From the incredibly fast wings of a hummingbird to the popping of a water balloon, slow motion shows us what actually happens when things happen too fast for the eye to see. The Slow Mo Guys, a YouTube channel run and hosted by Gavin Free and Daniel Gruchy, create videos using their high-tech slow motion cameras to show us what some miscellaneous (but always awesome) things look like in jaw-dropping slow motion.
Today’s featured video is the Slow Mo Guys’ most recent video, featuring an almost movie-esque flamethrower. In slow motion, the flame thrower is absolutely stunning, the giant flame looking almost animated (in a good way). Altogether, not only is the video very entertaining, it shows us how incredible a 50-foot flame can look like in slow motion; in case you couldn’t tell by my description, pretty incredible.
