Featured Vid #455 – Mr. Brightside Cover: 1940s Frank Sinatra Style The Killers

Postmodern Jukebox is a channel that has grown to an impressive 2.7 million subscribers by taking modern songs and putting a stylistic twist on them, having their fantastic band and guest singers recreate the song in a new style altogether. They’ve done this for plenty of songs, and recently the band covered the 2004 hit Mr. Brightside by the Killers in a 1940s, jazzy Frank Sinatra style. Sung by Blake Lewis, the cover takes a rock song and somehow twists it into a fantastic jazz song, in my opinion almost comparable to the original in quality and catchiness.
