Today, the Supreme Court made a landmark ruling. They stated that in the Unites States, the fact that gay marriage is illegal in many states is unconstitutional and that as of this morning, gay marriage is now legal in every state across the US. This is obviously an incredibly important ruling, and it is no surprise that there have been many celebrations, from gay couples getting married to companies like Reddit, Youtube, Facebook, Apple, and Google (including Youtube) adding new features, creating a rainbow-styled logos, and more.

Youtube in particular released this video, titled #ProudToLove – Celebrating Marriage Equality and LGBT Pride Month, which is a emotional video that highlights many LGBT YouTubers that have used the platform to come out over the past couple years, including Ingrid Nilsen, Connor Franta, Troye Sivan, Joey Graceffa, and a host more. As Youtube says in the description of this video:

“Over the last 10 years, everyone from moms to presidents have uploaded videos in support of LGBT awareness, to stand up against bullying and discrimination, and to say together, as a community, that marriage equality matters.

That’s why we are so excited by the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to recognize the constitutional right of all couples to marry. In recognition of Pride Month, and of this historic decision, we want to celebrate the many individuals and communities that have helped inspire change.”

The video is certainly a great tribute to the decision of legalizing gay marriage, and you can expect many more heartwarming videos to come from Youtube and it’s creators in the future.
