We are all, whether or not we are aware of it, familiar with the non-denial denial. The non-denial denial is mainly used by politicians or people in positions of power when they are accused of doing something or have to explain something that they previously did. While it may be true that they seem like they’re denying whatever accusation falls upon them, their specific words may not actually be denying anything.

In the interesting video above, John Green of vlogbrothers talks about the history of the non-denial denial in its many forms, from probably the most famous non-denial denial given by Bill Clinton to more recent examples from people like Chris Christie or John Brennan. While it is certainly a brief history, John does give an interesting point, which is that we should always be on the watch for non-denial denials, especially coming into the general election.
