Fish falling from the sky. All metal objects flying in the air. Hurricanes in Kansas. Snow in the Sahara. The word that comes to mind is “Apocalypse”. “Armageddon”. “The end of the world as we know it”. No, of course not. God’s cell phone went dead. Obviously.

This is the second of my top three best Super Bowl ads of 2015 (in no particular order), along with yesterday’s featured video, Clash Of Clans’ ad, Revenge. This ad, ran during the Super Bowl recently, was created by Mophie, a company that sells great cases for smartphones that also charge them at the same time. The great part of this ad is how, at first, it seems very serious, and is surprisingly well filmed, with great animation and special effects. But then, at the end, you realize that the whole thing is just a joke. The whole ad is just not something you would expect from a relatively small tech company, and that’s what’s so great about it. a

And although the actor they picked for the role of God is pretty convincing, Morgan Freeman would have been better. If you want to see behind the scenes with God, go on ahead and watch below:
