Loading...You may have heard of a little thing about this one dress on the internet recently. The dress is horizontally striped, with varying thicknesses of the lines. The reason that I’m assuming you have a pretty dang good chance of having seen this dress is that is has gone viral – everyone from Katy Perry to tons of Youtubers on Twitter are debating over the color of this odd dress. And for no reason really, other than the fact that some of us see it as blue and black, and others (including me) see it as white and gold. See for yourself:
Whether you are on Team Blue and Black or Team White and Gold, you can understandably be confused on why everybody is arguing about this. The dress is obviously [put color you see here]! That’s why Asap Science, the same channel that brought us one other featured video to date, created this great video explaining exactly why we see the dress in one set of colors or another.
Despite all the fun I’ve had arguing with people over which color the dress is, it’s stuff like this that seriously makes me doubt that there way to predict what goes viral and what doesn’t. Seriously! Who cares about the color of some random dress? Ugh.
