Late Night TV has taken a turn in recent years, as many of the long-time legends of the genre retired, got replaced, or in the special case of Stephen Colbert, had his show ended before taking over another one. Jimmy Fallon took over the Tonight Show, arguably the biggest and most famous of the late night shows, and brought his own style of comedy to the show, along with his comedic musical abilities. David Letterman retired and was replaced with James Corden, Seth Meyers took over for Jimmy Fallon at the Late Night show, and as I said earlier, Stephen Colbert ended his show The Colbert Report only to later in the year take over The Late Show.

Today’s featured video is a clip from Stephen Colbert’s new show, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, starring Stephen and the host of The Late Late Show, James Corden. Although both Stephen and James are most famous for their comedy and late-night hosting, they both have also dabbled in some singing, Corden even starring in the hit movie Into The Woods with Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Anna Kendrick and more. So when James came on Stephen’s show, they decided to sing a little duet, which turned out to be more of a show-stopping rendition of Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.’s Me And My Shadow. Altogether, both Stephen and James’ great voices surprised the audience and presumably the viewers at home, and the skit was overall very funny, well performed, and a perfect example of chemistry and friendship between almost competing talk show hosts.
