Loading...Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ release date is coming closer and closer, only 1 week and 2 days (8 days) away. Star Wars fever is spreading across the world just as it did back in 1999 for The Phantom Menace’s release, although we all know how that or turned out; the cast is appearing in late night television, trailers and tv spots are being occasionally released, and parodies, reviews, and predictions are appearing all over tv and YouTube. This is one of those videos, although admittedly much more artistic and skillful than the average Star Wars parody.
Titled ITALICS Ultimate Star Wars Medley, today’s featured video is an incredible piano-only medley of the iconic Star Wars music. Performed by Sonya Belousova of the channel PlayerPiano, the medley includes a couple different songs from the movie, from the main theme song to the Imperial March to a variety of other songs you’re recognize from the franchise. Except when Sonya plays them, they sound like a classic masterpiece rather than a soundtrack to a movie. Altogether, not only the arrangement and performance is incredible, but also the set, costume design, camera work, and editing, making for an overall great video.
